Welcome to Rossett Sixth Form

Rossett Sixth Form Taster Day, Friday 21st June 2024

Year 11 students who are attending Rossett Sixth Form next year are invited you to our Rossett Sixth Form Taster Day on Friday 21st June 2024. This date follows the completion of the final GCSE exam and all students who will be attending Rossett Sixth Form in September are expected to attend.

The day will run to the normal school times, therefore please be at the Sixth Form Centre by 8:45am. During the day you will experience full one hour taster sessions for each of your chosen subjects. You will also be able to provisionally sign up to our extra-curricular programme. There will be an opportunity during Taster Day to ask the Sixth Form Team any questions you may have about starting at Rossett Sixth Form in September.

The dress for the Taster Day is ‘professional business dress’, therefore no trainers, sportswear, hoodies, etc please.

I would like to wish you all the best for the remainder of your GCSE exams, and I look forward to seeing you on Friday 21st June 2024.

If you have any questions, please email Mr Keyworth at keyworthr@rs.rklt.co.uk

 Sixth Form Open Day 2024

With an A level pass rate of over 97% we are delighted that each year our Sixth Form students leave Rossett with excellent qualifications to enter the universities of their choice, including the most prestigious Russell Group or Sutton Trust Universities.

Our success is due to the talented and specialist teachers in the school and the hard work of our students. We are a progressive Sixth Form which enables us to offer a wide range of courses.

Whilst students are in the Sixth Form, they are treated as young adults and given the rights and responsibilities associated with that status. Our excellent retention rates demonstrate commitment to our students and a personalised approach to their study programmes. We genuinely care about the success of each individual and work tirelessly to ensure they succeed.

An enviable range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities enable students to engage in the life of the school and develop skills, knowledge and experience in preparation for university, employment or training. Rossett is the ideal Sixth Form for a young person to continue the next stage of their education and we look forward to welcoming our current Year 11 students to our post 16 community.

All applications to our Sixth Form are welcome.  If you would like to arrange a visit please contact Mr Keyworth (Head of Sixth Form) Rkeyworth@rossettschool.co.uk

We recognise that the transition from Year 11 to Sixth Form is an important step for students and we offer a comprehensive programme to support them as they move through to the next exciting stage of their education.
