Year 8 Students
The use of an iPad in school for this Year group is not mandatory, although it is desirable.
Year 8 2022 iPad Scheme:
New students joining us in Year 8 are able to join the Year 7 2022 Scheme (see below) as a late joiner, however, the Direct Debit set up link in the letter is no longer active, and the cost to purchase the iPad at the end (in September 2025) will be higher than those who started on time.
All we ask if that if you take up this late offer that you commit to making the full contributions over the remaining time the scheme has to run.
If you are happy to proceed on this basis If you wish to join this scheme please read the paperwork carefully as by signing up to the scheme you are agreeing to its terms and conditions. Please the Learning Foundation at alex@learningfoundation.org.uk and they will set the Direct Debit up manually for you. Please say this is the Year 8 2022 Programme at £13 a month with payments ending in August 2025. When your Direct Debit is confirmed to the school, a brand-new iPad and case* will be provided to your child.
*Please note: The Red Kite Learning Trust do not provide screen protectors as the school issued case is deemed protection enough. By taking up a late place on this scheme you will not receive a screen protector, although one can be purchased from the school via the online payment system if you wish to have one.
Personal iPads:
If you do not wish to join the school scheme then you can provide your own device instead. Please note that if you choose this option then you are not able to repair your device through the school repair service which is for school iPads only.

Loan iPads:
We do not currently have any stock we can loan out. If you wish to enquire about a loan iPad please email RSiPads@rs.rklt.co.uk to put your child on the waiting list and you will be contacted when an iPad becomes available.
Loan iPad are used models that are modified for school use only. They are not available for sale and must be returned to school on leaving.
