School Production – High School Musical Jr.

High School Musical Jr. Spectacular Performances

This week our students have shone brighter than ever in our annual school production this year’s being High School Musical Jr. and it has undoubtedly been one of the best, with a range of students from year 7 right up to year 13 helping put on this production. With a total of 5 performances including two shows to Year 5 students from a range of primary schools around the area.

A quote from Mrs McLurg the Head of Arts

"We were certainly ‘All in this together’ and ‘Bopping to the top’ this week as our fabulous cast, crew and musicians performed 5 Showings of High school musical JR . They were remarkable in every way and have made us immensely proud.

Our students gave matinee performances to almost 400 primary school students , 2 Evening performances to the public which proved themselves worthy of a standing ovation . They finished the week off with an after-show party to celebrate the last 5 months of hard work , dedication , fun and making memories."

We are so proud of every student involved. and a huge shout out to all the students who helped on the evening showing parents where to go including the tuck shop on front of house.IMG_9848

Student Achievement

Huge congratulations to Millie S!

Millie, Year 10, has just finished a very tiring week of shows as one of the leading roles in the school production as Sharpay.

This week she is heading to Prague to represent England in the Dance world cup!

Along with keeping up with all of these commitments she is also completing End of year assessments. We are beyond proud of you Millie. Good luck and have a wonderful time!MS

Rudding Park - Hospitality Trip

Miss Winterschladen took the year 10 Hospitality and catering students to look around Rudding Park to see Hospitality and Catering in action. This included a full tour of the house and grounds,  the new 52 restaurant, garden and Spa. Students were given a unique insight in to working at Rudding, what it would take to be successful, and the variety of fantastic options of employment and apprenticeship schemes they offer.

"This was a brilliant chance for the students to see that Hospitality and Catering offers many employment opportunities that just being a chef - they saw Events Management  / HR / Head Ground Keeper / Marketing jobs and apprenticeships on all offer. I was very proud of our Rossett students today; they showed the upmost Respect for their surroundings and were polite and well mannered - well done team H&C!"
