Rossett News Update - 28 February 2020

Bewerley Park

Year 7 students returned today from an amazing time at Bewerley Park where they took part in new activities, overcame challenges and made new friends. Highlights of the week included canoeing on Glasshouse Dam; hill walking up a snowy Capplestone Gate,  Scar House Reservoir and Simon's Seat; and mountain biking. They all demonstrated great resilience in the frosty conditions where they faced the challenges of gorge walking in Blayshaw Ghyll and all proved great team players when faced with team-building challenges at Brimham Rocks.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff involved:  Mrs Leeming (for leading the trip),  Mrs Grabham, Mrs McCabe, Mr Pears, Mr Protheroe, Miss Cavusoglu, Mr Eaton, Miss Chauvet , Mr Wolfram and Miss Rowe.  The students (and staff) will enjoy a bath and a well-earned rest tonightt!  Lots more pictures of the week's activities can be found @Rossett on Twitter.

The school would like to thank all teaching and support staff who have helped to run other school trips and visits over the preceding half-term.

Rossett PTA, with your support and assistance, would like to organise further events for the school. We would invite your suggestions and ideas so that we can judge the level of interest in additional events. Do you have an idea of something that would make a great entertaining evening? Do you have any contacts or resources that could help with events? Do you have any special skills that may help the PTA and the school?

Please email the PTA with your ideas – info@rossettpta.co.uk

When we receive some feedback from parents/carers, we will put together some of the most popular or practical suggestions and ask  what you would like us to investigate further. Remember, this all helps to provide additional resource for the school and enhances every child's experience of Rossett.
