Year 10 End of Year Assessments

Our Year 10 end of year assessments will take place between Monday 1st and Thursday 4th July  (NB: some assessments may take place other side of this week due to the training day on Friday).   The assessments will cover the GCSE content covered so far this year.

The assessments for all core subjects (English, Maths and Science) and some option subjects will take place in the Sports Hall in order to provide students experience of this environment prior to their mock exams next year.  The remaining option subjects' assessments will take place in classrooms in normal lesson time during this period.   A letter with further details and the assessment timetable will be sent after half term. Revision materials will be placed on Teams and guidance will be provided by teachers in lessons in advance of lessons. Students who would like to begin preparing sooner can find revision materials and guidance on the Rossett Website, Rossett School - GCSE Support and Guidance  for all of their subjects.

Y10 Geography Trip - Malham Cove

This week, our Year 10 Geographers embarked on an enriching field trip to Malham Cove, exploring the wonders of the Yorkshire Dales, including Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar. The weather cooperated for most of the trip, allowing the students to study river meanders and sediment sizes, which will be invaluable for their Geography exams next year. The students demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination throughout the trip. Well done!

Uniform Notice

Do you have any preloved Rossett School uniform that you could donate? We would greatly appreciate it if Year 11 students could donate any Rossett School uniform now that they have finished their exams. We are especially looking for blazers, ties, sweatshirts, and any Rossett-branded PE kit. These donations greatly benefit the wider Rossett community and are highly valued.

Students can drop off their uniforms at tomorrow's Sixth Form Taster Day, or they can be handed in at Main Reception at any time. If any student, from any year group, has good condition preloved Rossett School uniform to donate, it would be wonderful. Please drop off your donations at Main Reception at your convenience.

Before finishing with a second assembly where students had the opportunity to fill out an evaluation of their experiences throughout the day.

School AchievementImogen from Rossett School in Harrogate is the catalyst for a national initiative.article-962

Congratulations to Imogen J, who has ignited a nationwide campaign through her poignant poem addressing the dangers of carrying knives and the exploitation by County Lines drug gangs. Inspired by author Christina Gabbitas, who spoke on these critical issues during school assemblies, Imogen's heartfelt writing has captured the attention of the police, who are now interested in exploring opportunities for related competitions. We are immensely proud of Imogen's efforts, which exemplify the admirable qualities of a Rossett student.

Sport Centre Car Parking

A notice from our site team manager.

Over the next few weeks, refurbishment will be happening around the Sports Centre car park. As a result, a section of the car park will be out of use from 24/06, with a slight change to the affected areas on 01/07, due to the Sports Centre roof refurbishment. Part of the car park will be sectioned off for the storage of materials.

We appreciate your support and understanding during this time and will keep you informed of any further changes.
