American Exchange
We said farewell to our Falmouth exchange students on Tuesday morning who continued their visit with sightseeing in London before heading back home to their parents. Mr Elcock hosted a farewell party on Monday evening and from the pictures we have seen, the students were kept busy and entertained with our brilliant host families throughout their visit. We would like to thank all of the parents involved for making it such a memorable visit, we are very grateful for the amount of effort and time taken to provide such a wonderful experience. Special thanks also go to Mr Elcock who planned the trip meticulously and went above and beyond to ensure the visit was enjoyed by all. Thanks also to Mrs Normand and Mr Rogerson for helping with the visit and particularly Mrs Normand who looked after visiting staff. A limited number of places are available for the next exchange and if you would like further information please email Mr Elcock elcockt@rs.rklt.co.uk
Launch of summer Rewards Trips
We are excited to announce details of our end of term rewards trips taking place in the last week of term. This year students can choose between two options: a day trip to Flamingo land theme park and zoo, or a local trip to Odeon Cinema with afternoon activities in school. A letter with further, detailed information has been sent to parents/carers today and we would be grateful if you could confirm your child's place on the trip by making a payment vai Scopay by 5th May.
Rossett students respond to birthday appeal
This week, Rossett students answered a birthday appeal from the Crest Care Home in Harrogate: a request for birthday cards for its oldest resident, Bill Roberson. KS3 students, Holly, Riley, Layla and Bradley responded enthusiastically, working together as a team to create a 103rd Birthday Card for Bill.
Mrs Barnett and Bradley then delivered this to the Care Home where residents were delighted by the kind response to the birthday appeal. Staff thanked us for the children’s part in making Bill’s day special. As part of Rossett’s caring culture, we work hard to foster an attitude of kindness and respect for others in its young people. Projects like this are a brilliant way to connect the students with their local community and build relationships. We are really proud of the thoughtful actions of our students. We all send our best wishes to Bill as he celebrates his 103rd birthday today!
SEND: Have your say
North Yorkshire’s education, health and social care services are being jointly inspected by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to see how well they meet their responsibilities towards children and young people with SEN and disabilities (SEND).
They would like to hear your views about the support that your child/young person receives and how it has helped your child.
You can provide your views by completing an online survey. What you share will be treated in confidence:
