Rossett News Update - 15 November 2019

Armistice Day

The whole school joined together on Monday 11 November to mark Armistice Day with over 1,500 students and 200 staff observing a two minute silence in the grounds of the school at 11am.  Our Head Girl, Holly Higlett read 'For the Fallen' and Joe Cooper (Year 11) played the Last Post and ended the memorial with the 'Reveille'.  We are particularly grateful to Joe as he has played the Last Post every year since joining the school in Year 7.

Pudsey thank youChildren in Need

Thanks to the generosity of students, parents and staff we have raised over £1,900 today.  The students never fail to impress with their array of 'Pudsey' outfits and willingness to support 'children in need' in this country and beyond.

Mock Examinations

All Year 11 students will be completing either mock GCSE examinations or assessments in their core and option subjects in the week commencing Tuesday 26 November to Thursday 5 December. Students will sit examinations in Science, Maths, English Geography, History, French, Spanish and some option subjects in the Sports Hall; other option subject exams or assessments will be sat in classrooms during normal lesson times.  Further information has been sent out to all Year 11 parents this week and a copy of the letter can be found here.
