Rossett News Update - 1 December 2023
Presentation Evening
We celebrated the success of last year's Year 11 students last night at our annual Presentation Evening. Subject staff and parents/carers attended the event and were delighted to congratulate and celebrate the resilience and hard work of our students that resulted in their GCSE achievements.
Our guest speaker for the evening was James Porter, an ex Rossett student who has seen life at Rossett from both sides, as a student and Head Prefect to a manager at our Sports Centre. Having completed university, James now practices commercial law and commercial dispute resolution at a top-30 law firm. James gave an inspirational speech before presenting GCSE, and BTEC certificates, and awards and trophies to special winners on the night.
Meg Rowlands gave a fantastic performance of 'Strange' by Celeste, and Tristan Holdsworth (Head Prefect) gave a vote of thanks to all who attended the evening. Well done to all of our award winners!
Bad Weather Arrangements Reminder
With the onset of colder weather and the prospect of snow, we would like to remind you that if we need to contact you about inclement weather and possible school closure we will do so via email and text message. If any of your contact numbers or email address has recently changed please update it via our Bromcom parent portal 'My Child at School' to ensure that these messages reach you. Thank you for your assistance.
