Rossett News Update - 9 May 2025
Rossett Champions Chosen for Rotary Club Young Chef Competition!
This afternoon, the heat was on in the Rossett kitchens as five talented Year 10 food students competed for the prestigious title of Rossett Champion in the Rotary Club Young Chef competition. The aspiring chefs - Lucas H, Rhys P, Lily C, Eleanor E and Lola W - showcased their culinary creativity and technical skills in a high-stakes cook-off.
The competition was judged blind by a panel of enthusiastic 'foodie' staff, with our Headteacher Mr Milburn serving as the head judge. Each student impressed with their flair, presentation, and flavours, making the decision incredibly difficult.
After much deliberation, two standout students were selected, along with our reserve, to represent Rossett in the area heats on 4th June. Congratulations to Eleanor and Lucas, and Lola, we’re proud to have you carry the Rossett banner forward!
Well done to all participants for your hard work and passion, you truly did Rossett proud!
VE Day Celebrations
On VE Day, our amazing First Aid Team hosted a cake stall and raised just over £120 for Help for Heroes - a huge thank you to everyone who donated cakes or stopped by to support this cause.
After school, old and new members of the team came together to celebrate VE Day with party games (first aid themed of course!) and pizza.
Special thanks to Miss Rogers for organising it all and dressing up for the occasion!
