Thank you to everyone who has signed up to take part in our takeover of the Harrogate Parkrun this Saturday on The Stray.
If you would like to run (or walk!), please click here to officially register with Parkrun.
If you would like a record of your finish time, you will need to print your barcode and bring it with you on Saturday in order to get a result - Parkrun have a strict 'no barcode, no result' policy. Your unique barcode will be emailed to you when you register with them.
The starting line is outside Wedderburn House on the section of the Stray bordered by the A661 (Wetherby Road), the A6040 (Knaresborough Road), and Oatlands Drive. The race starts at 9am.
***Students should wear their PE kits please.***
All students who attend will receive a certificate and be awarded five 'responsible' positive points on Class Charts in recognition of their commitment to Rossett and our local community.
Thank you for your support, we look forward to seeing you there!

Over the Easter holidays, a group of amazing volunteers, including staff members, rolled up their sleeves to begin restoring what was once a sensory garden in our school grounds.
This special space will once again offer a calming environment for both students and staff.
As part of the project, we will also be planting trees in memory of Rossett students who have sadly passed away in recent years, to create a peaceful and lasting tribute.
To support this project, we're asking for donations of weed membrane and gravel. If you have any spare, we would be very grateful! Please contact our Business & Operations Manager, Andy Colbourne, if you're able to help: colbournea@rs.rklt.co.uk

Last week, the exchange students from Falmouth Middle School in Maine, USA, arrived at Rossett and there were hugs and smiles all round as partners were reunited.
They spent the Easter weekend with their host families before enjoying a jam packed week of activities.
They have visited Knaresborough (for lunch by the castle and a spot of rowing), Whitby (where they braved the Dracula Experience), York (to the National Railway Museum) and, of course, Harrogate. They've been incredibly lucky with the weather and really have seen the best of Yorkshire!

Rossett First Aid Team is proud to announce that our second defibrillator and bleed kit cabinet is now officially registered and ready for action. It is located at the entrance to Rossett Adult Learning.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated or supported our Heart of the Community campaign and helped make this possible - your generosity will save lives. We are patiently awaiting news about the Gold Award, watch this space!

As we approach the warmer months, we want to ensure our students stay comfortable while continuing to learn effectively. The following uniform options are available during the Summer Term:
Students should not wear outdoor coats / jackets / hoodies inside the school building. If they are cold, they should wear either the blazer or the Rossett sweatshirt as part of their uniform.
Thank you for your support in helping us maintain high standards.
Further to Mr Milburn's letter at the end of last term, the planned Parent Forum that was due to take place tomorrow has been moved to the evening of Thursday 22nd May 2025.
On Wednesday 26th March, Red Kite Learning Trust proudly hosted a special open evening to launch its latest Art Exhibition, featuring stunning artwork created by students from our school. The exhibition highlights the artistic talent of Year 9, 10, and 12 students and will remain on display in the Trust Central Office Gallery until September 2025, when another school in the Trust will have the opportunity to showcase their work.
Nearly 1 in 5 children have spoken online with someone they have never met in person.
This week's Wake Up Wednesday guide is here to help.
Our fantastic First Aid Team is hosting a VE Day-themed cake stall on Thursday 8th May, with all proceeds going to Help for Heroes.
