Harrogate Parkrun Takeover

Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far for our second Harrogate Parkrun takeover TOMORROW!

We look forward to seeing as many students as possible, wearing Rossett red, on the Stray at 9.00am.

If you decide to join us at the last minute, please just turn up, we would love to see you there. Please wear red if you can!!

If you plan to run, you may want to register with Parkrun so you receive a personal barcode. Parkrun operates a strict ‘no barcode, no result’ policy which means your finish time can’t be recorded without it.

The starting line is outside Wedderburn House on the section of the Stray bordered by the A661 (Wetherby Road), the A6040 (Knaresborough Road), and Oatlands Drive. The race itself starts at 9am but volunteers should arrive for 8.30am.

Winter Support for Families

As we get closer to winter, we would like to remind families that there are a wide range of support services available across Harrogate to help with utility costs, food, clothing, wellbeing and more. Each week over the next few weeks, we'll highlight different organisations in the area that offer support.

The Harrogate District Foodbank is there to help families who are struggling to put food on the table. For more details, please click here

Resurrected Bites is a charity that gives surplus food a new lease of life at community cafes and groceries in Harrogate and Knaresborough. For more information, please click here

While your child may still be in Key Stage 3 or 4, it’s never too early to start exploring the exciting options available to students once they finish Year 11.

From A-levels and T-levels to apprenticeships and vocational courses, each pathway offers unique opportunities tailored to different strengths, interests and aspirations.

Understanding these choices now can help you support your child in making confident, informed decisions when the time comes. Look out for upcoming careers bulletins to help guide you through the process.

Fantastico Year 9!

Our Year 9 Spanish students have wowed us last week with their creativity and flair for language.
They used a range of imagery to explain how to conjugate the verb comer (“to eat”) in the present tense, turning grammar into an art form.

¡Bien hecho, Year 9...keep up the good work!

Angharad Takes On the Cardiff Half Marathon

We are very proud of Angharad in Year 13 who will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for CLAPA – the Cleft Lip and Palate Association.

This cause is very close to Angharad's heart, as she was born with a cleft palate and had an operation at just 9 months old. Angharad knows first-hand how important it is to have the right care and support, not only for those born with a cleft but also for their families.

By taking on this challenge, Angharad hopes to help others receive the same support that she did. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference.

After-School Pick-Ups

To keep everyone safe and on time, please ensure that students being collected after school are picked up from the Sports Centre car park.

The main car park is becoming congested which delays the school buses and makes our school site less safe.

Thank you for your support with this.
