Due to today's warm weather, we made the decision to postpone our Sponsored Walk until Monday when the forecast is looking a lot cooler.
Our walk will begin at 9.15am, with all walkers expected to return by 1.00pm at the latest. To ensure a safe and enjoyable day for all we have reminded students of the following, and would really welcome your support:

We had a fantastic couple of days welcoming our soon-to-be new Year 7s for their induction days this week.
Our newest students have seen first-hand what life at secondary school is like, from getting stuck into lessons and enjoying performances from last week's production, to experiencing a whole-school evacuation drill!
We're really proud of our Class of 2031!

With all the excitement of end of term activities and events, Team PE wanted to make sure that no-one forgets about Sports Day!
It's the biggest day on their calendar! Thursday, 16th July. We wonder who'll win the staff race?! Bring it on!
This year, the Languages Club magazine celebrates the universal language of music, a theme that has inspired our students to translate songs, compete in the national Pop Video competition hosted by the French Institute in London, and immerse themselves in the rhythms of festivals like El Día de los Muertos and La Chandeleur.
Our Languages Club students believe in learning through experience, and this magazine is a testament to that. Our events and activities bring traditions to life, fostering a love for language and culture. As you turn the pages, you’ll discover the stories behind their musical journey, explore the voices of different singers, and uncover the rich tapestry of traditions from around the world.

This year's Year 7 Globe Theatre model competition was incredibly difficult to judge. We had entries in the form of 3D models, drawings, paintings, cake (Ye gads cake!), videos, Minecraft and much more. Shakespeare himself would have been hard pressed to choose the winners so it was always bound to be a bard decision but our librarian, Mr Asker, did his best...
1st Prize - Beth , Belle, and Thea A brilliant model of the Globe Theatre including realistic, thatched roof and wonderful rendering of the stage including actors in performance. A huge amount of work, effort and Elizabethan toil has gone into this year's winner. Well done girls on this fantastic achievement!"Verilly, tis the best Globe since my Globe. The underlings were agog." Willam Shakespeare
2nd Prize - Jacob and Bobby A stunning model of the Globe theatre. Small but perfectly formed with exquisite detail including grassy roof and accurate staging. What an effort by Jacob and Bobby. Well done boys on your wonderful model."For Sooth, My Will did love this Globe model." Anne Hathaway
3rd Prize - Milo A wonderful Globe theatre in Lego with moving parts and a Lego figure of William Shakespeare himself. A super piece of modelling Milo."I was greatly impressed by this model of my favourite theatre and wonderfully amused by the figure of a tiny William." Queen Elizabeth 1.
Special mention the first - Ella A delicious looking cake with realistic biscuit roof effect and piped icing showing beams and roof supports. Well done Ella."What a delicious cake, my good friend William shared a slice or two while I shared some of my ideas." Francis Bacon
Special mention the second - Joshua and Frankie A wonderfully made film with an Elizabethan era appropriate theme tune and Shakespearean facts by the dozen. Well done boys on some super editing."What 'tis this phantasmagorical magic lantern show revealing Williams' life in such vivid colours? A feast!" Christopher Marlowe
Well done to every student who took part!

Well done to all the students who received a Headteacher's Award this week.
