iPads for Learning

iPads for learning are an integral part of teaching and learning here at Rossett.

We want to develop independent learners who demonstrate responsibility, resilience and reflection so they can create and collaborate with each other.

From the 2025/26 academic year, all students will require an iPad for lessons. Most students are not allowed to use personal devices in school - please check the relevant Year Group for your child below.

The use of iPads is an essential part of our future planning to:

  • Enhance teaching and learning
  • Improve literacy and numeracy skills
  • Improve feedback, collaboration, and learning outside the classroom and to support independent learning
  • Ensure our students are well equipped in an ever-changing world.

From September 2025, the school will run schemes from the beginning of Year 7 and Year 10 only.  It is not possible to join a scheme part-way through so, where a student joins us mid-way, we offer the use of a loan iPad to use instead.

We ask that you familiarise yourself with our iPad web pages, in particular those relating to iPad repairs, lost or stolen iPads, replacement cases and chargers.

If you have any questions left unanswered, please contact iPad Support at rsipads@rs.rklt.co.uk
