The Rossett Sponsored Walk Returns
We're excited to announce that our biennial sponsored walk will take place on Friday 27th June 2025.
This year's theme is Rossett Red and we are asking all students to wear their Rossett red PE shirt and / or Rossett PE hooded top to show their school spirit.
We're introducing a brand-new 12km route that takes us into the local countryside, past Harlow Carr Gardens and through Valley Gardens, with students following pedestrian paths and public right of ways through fields. The route will be thoroughly marshalled and supervised to ensure everyone's safety.
This event is not only a fun day out - it's also a chance to support two amazing local charities, chosen by our Student Council:
- Horticap - supporting young people with learning disabilities through horticulture and rural skills.
- New Beginnings - helping women and children in North Yorkshire who have experienced domestic abuse.
We encourage students to begin collecting sponsorship now, with all donations made via SCOPAY. We will be rewarding students and forms for the highest fundraising.
We warmly invite parents, carers or family members who run local businesses to get involved through:
- Event sponsorship - contributing funds to support our event and charities.
- Raffle prizes - donating products, services or vouchers for our fundraising raffle.
In return, we'll feature your business in our event materials, school website and on social media. Please get in touch if you are able to support us.
