Rossett School Celebrates Inclusive School Award

Rossett School is proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark’s Inclusive School Award, recognising our exceptional commitment to inclusion, student wellbeing, and community values.

Following a recent visit, the assessor praised Rossett for its “sense of camaraderie and being there for each other” and commended the strong relationships between staff and students. The award highlights our dedication to supporting every learner, with robust systems in place for pastoral care, behaviour support, and personalised provision.

The assessor was particularly impressed by our highly skilled SEND team, which includes neurodiverse staff members who use their lived experience to relate to and support students.

Other notable features of the school’s inclusive approach include nurture groups for Years 10 and 11, provision for students struggling with attendance or behaviour, and a strong personal development curriculum that tackles discrimination head-on. The assessor also recognised how we work closely with parents and external agencies to support students’ wider needs.

The Inclusive School Award is valid for three years. Our Headteacher, Mr Milburn, said, “We are thrilled by this recognition—it reflects the dedication of our staff and the strength of our school community.”

This award marks another important step forward for Rossett as we continue to grow in confidence and provide a welcoming, supportive environment for all.
