Rossett News Update - 7th November 2025
Partnering with The Sibling Group
Earlier this week, Mr Bulmer met with a former Rossett student who is now the PBS Lead and Interim CEO at The Sibling Group, the charity we’ve chosen to support this academic year and which was founded by several Rossett alumni.
The charity runs support groups for children aged 6 to 11 who have a brother or sister with a disability, as well as Oscar’s Pathway, a day centre for disabled adults with complex needs.
We are really looking forward to working together and seeing what we can achieve.

Year 13 Visit to Newcastle University
On Thursday, some of our Year 13 students had a fun and productive trip to Newcastle University.
The day was packed with valuable experiences, starting with a tour of the campus that gave students a real feel for university life. The highlight was a very informative lecture that covered not only the specifics of attending Newcastle University but also provided essential advice on the wider UCAS application process, helping students feel well-prepared for their next steps.

Tesco's Store of the Future
Earlier this week, our Year 10 students spent the day with members of Tesco's Property Team from across the country, finding out about career opportunities.
As well as learning about a range of roles, students took part in a series of tasks and were set the challenge of designing and presenting their very own 'Store of the Future'.
This was perfect timing with the new Harrogate store opening soon. And next time you see an innovative new design feature in a Tesco store, it could be the brainchild of a Year 10 Rossett student!
