Rossett News Update - 6th February 2026

Please Support Our Minibus Fundraiser

Last week, some of our Year 7 boys headed off to their Area Cup football fixture against St John Fisher, travelling in our one remaining minibus. They represented Rossett brilliantly and did us proud.

This is another example of how important our minibuses are and why we're raising funds to purchase another now we're down to one!

Every donation makes a difference. If you’re able to support us, please consider donating via Arbor or via our GoFundMe page here

First Stop: Tokyo

Our exchange students have arrived safely in Tokyo and are already enjoying the sights and sounds.

They've visited the TeamLab exhibition at Azabudai Hills where they quite literally immersed themselves in the art, and have been to Joypolis and the iconic Rainbow Bridge. Even the views from their hotel are amazing!

After a few days in Tokyo, they'll be spending some time with their exchange partners at Ishigami High School before heading on to Kyoto.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation who awarded us with a grant to help fund cultural and educational experiences during the exchange. We are very grateful.

Thank You to Our PTA

A big thank you to our PTA for funding new headphones and splitters for our Music department.

They arrived just before Christmas and are now being used every day by our Year 7 to 9 students. This means everyone can hear their own work clearly without the noise of the whole class in the background, a must for all musicians!

The next PTA event is the Bingo Night on Friday 13th March, tickets are available on Arbor, please come along! If you would like to join the PTA, or just help out occasionally, please get in touch via the school office.

Parking

Please could all parents and carers take extra care when using the Sports Centre car park.

We kindly ask that you do not park on the double yellow lines, as this makes it difficult for vehicles to manoeuvre and creates a safety risk for pedestrians. Disabled parking bays should only be used by blue badge holders.

As the car park is shared with a number of organisations, please be considerate of all users. Thank you for your support.

The Rossett Sports Centre is a first-class non-membership community facility. Open 7 days a week, the centre offers high-quality sports facilities, including Harrogate's leading 3G artificial sports pitch, that can be booked on a casual or block-booking basis.
