Rossett News Update - 6 June 2025

Sponsored Walk Update

The countdown is on! In just three weeks, our students will be taking part in the highly anticipated sponsored walk, raising money for our chosen charity and enjoying a great day of community spirit and fresh air.

To help students prepare, form tutors have been going over key details and handing out sponsorship forms. Over the next 21 days, we’re encouraging all students to gather as much sponsorship as they can - every little helps, and it’s all for two great causes: Horticap and New Beginnings.

We’ll also be recognising students’ amazing efforts with prizes for:

  • Best Individual Fundraiser (per year group) – for the student who raises the most.

  • Top Fundraising Class/Group – encouraging teamwork and a little friendly competition!

  • Most Sponsors Collected – rewarding effort and enthusiasm, not just amounts raised.

Thank you for supporting your child’s fundraising. Let’s make this our most successful sponsored walk yet!

Rotary Club Young Cooks Competition

Congratulations to Lola and Eleanor in Year 10 who represented Rossett with pride at the Rotary Club Young Cooks Competition yesterday.

In a high-energy two-hour cook-off against four other schools, they showcased all of our 5Rs. Their creativity and practical skills were on full display as they cooked up a storm in a very competitive atmosphere.

While they didn't come away with the trophy this time, their dedication and effort were outstanding. We are so proud of them both!
