Our Sponsored Walk is just one week away!!
A massive thank you to everyone who supported our production of Little Shop of Horrors! It was a huge success and the feedback from everyone who was lucky enough to see it has been amazing.
Thank you to all our fabulous staff members who have worked so hard to bring it all together. A special thank you goes to Mrs McLurg - this year's production marks her final one at Rossett. Fittingly, Little Shop of Horrors was the very first musical that she directed here 20 years ago! We are very grateful for her dedication to our productions over the past two decades.
Our cast, crew and musicians also deserve a round of applause (with an encore!), they have been so committed to the show and did an outstanding job, we surely have some stars in the making. Farwell to our Year 11 students who returned after completing their GCSE exams to be part of the production, it was lovely to have them back on stage one last time.
Congratulations and well done everybody!

We are so pleased for our Year 8 girls' rounders team who were crowned overall winners of the U13 Area Rounders Tournament on Monday! With a strong line-up of local schools, the girls knew they were in for a challenge but they rose to the occasion brilliantly.
They got three teams all out and only lost one game by one rounder. Congratulations to them all, they were excellent ambassadors for Rossett and should be very proud of themselves.
We are very excited to welcome our new Year 7s to Rossett for their induction days on Wednesday Thursday next week. This is a great opportunity for students to get to know each other, their teachers and get a taste of secondary school life.
We also look forward to meeting parents and carers again at the information evening on Thursday 9th July at 6.30pm.

A group of Year 10 students enjoyed a visit to the new Harrogate College development yesterday.
They were invited to take part in a guided tour of the construction site, led by Caddick Project Manager, Matt Hargreaves. During the visit, Matt provided an insight into the building project, explaining the various stages of the construction process and answering a range of questions from students. Many of the questions focused on career pathways within the construction industry, giving them a valuable opportunity to learn directly from an industry professional.
Our students were equipped with steel toe cap boots, hard hats and high-vis jackets, giving them a genuine experience of what it's like to work on a live construction site. They saw first-hand the skills and teamwork involved in modern construction projects and gained a better understanding of workplace expectations within the industry.
Thank you to Harrogate College for selecting Rossett students to take part in this unique opportunity, and to Caddick and Matt for providing such an engaging and educational visit. Experiences like this play an important role in helping our students explore future career options and make informed decisions about their next steps.

Our latest Artist of the Week is Amir in Year 9, who created a fantastic paper sculpture of a dragonfly! Well done, Amir!
Don't forget to save the date for the opening night of our art exhibition here in school. It's on Thursday 9th July from 5.30 to 7.00pm.

Well done to all the students who received a Headteacher's Award this week.
These students have been nominated by members of staff for exemplifying Rossett School's 5Rs culture of learning:
