Our Year 7 students have had a great time at Bewerley Park this week.
The weather has been amazing and they've shown real resilience and teamwork in all their activities, it's brought out the adventurer in all of them!

What a week our students had in Sierra Nevada! Huge thanks to Miss Parker for organising an amazing trip (rumour has it Miss Parker was the only person who stayed upright all week). Thank you also to Miss Mooney, Mr Elcock and Mr Rogerson. We are very grateful to our lovely staff team for giving up their half term.
We were very proud to receive lots of compliments about our students - no surprise there but it's always nice to hear, especially from members of the public who were skiing alongside our group. What fantastic ambassadors for Rossett!

Our Student Council welcomed local MP, Tom Gordon, for a Q&A session to learn more about his work in Harrogate and Knaresborough – with a special focus on how he's supporting local schools.
Thank you to Tom for taking the time to answer our students' questions!

Thanks to the amazing support we've received for our Heart of the Community campaign, we are now the proud guardians of our first 24/7 community accessible defibrillator and bleed kit.
Year 8 students Poppy and Amelia, who are members of our first aid club, were very excited to place the defibrillator and bleed kit into the cabinet, ready for public use.
The cabinet is located on the wall outside the Rossett Sports Centre gate, at the bottom of the car park next to the pitches. It is now registered on the defib finder website.
A second cabinet will be going up at the front of school over the next few weeks and we will be holding more fundraising events as our campaign continues to become the first school to receive the Heart of the Community Gold Award.

We would like to invite you to the opening night of our Red Kite Learning Trust Art Exhibition, featuring wonderful artwork created by our talented students.

This week, instead of our weekly Rossett Careers Bulletin, we are sharing the brilliant Parents' Guide to Careers for National Careers Week.
The guide provides a straightforward breakdown of the options available to your child at 16 and 18, tips on finding work experience, insight into a range of careers, and links to brilliant resources to help your child to thrive.

Have you signed up for the PTA Quiz Night yet?? There's still time!
Tickets are £15 for adults, £10 for children and include a fish and chip supper. With questions set by our very own quiz master, Mr Lee, this is an evening not to be missed.
There will be a raffle on the night with some fantastic prizes up for grabs, thank you to the following companies for donating prizes:
Tickets for the quiz night are available via SCOPAY, don't miss out!

Just because online games are popular doesn’t mean they're risk-free.
This week’s Wake Up Wednesday guide looks at the potential dangers of Marvel Rivals.

Please check your child's SCOPAY account and make sure it is in credit by the end of March.
We've noticed that a lot of students are using their balance for breakfast, which can leave them without enough credit for lunch. Our main priority is to ensure every child gets a hot meal at lunchtime and there are plenty of options available thanks to the fantastic Rossett Kitchen.
We'll continue to monitor the situation and appreciate your support.
Well done to all the students who received a Headteacher's Award this week.
These students have been nominated by members of staff for exemplifying Rossett School's 5Rs culture of learning:
