Rossett News Update - 25th September 2026
Open Event TOMORROW!
Tomorrow is the day! We're looking forward to welcoming Year 6 children and their families to our Open Event from 9.30am to 12.00pm.
The final preparations are under way and the first 100 Year 6 children through the doors will receive a Rossett goodie bag.
Thank you to everyone who has booked a place, we can't wait for you to be part of Rossett!
Training Days - Next Week
A reminder that school will be closed to students on Monday 28th September and Friday 2nd October next week due to staff development days.
Students should attend school as normal on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Good luck to our Harrogate Town cohort who begin their FA Youth Cup campaign on Monday evening when they take on Gateshead in the preliminary round at Harrogate Town's ground.
The match kicks off at 7pm and admission is £2 on the gate. Please come along if you can!
The team had a fantastic run in the competition last season, reaching the actual FA Youth Cup and earning a trip to face Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. We wish them every success this year and would love to see plenty of support from the Rossett community on Monday night.
Bingo!
Save the date! Our first Bingo Night of the new school year will take place on Friday 9th October from 7 to 9pm. It's a great value night out...tickets cost just £5 for four games. It's always a fun event and we are very grateful to our PTA for organising it.

Yew Tree Lane Road Closure – Travel Information
Yorkshire Water has advised us that Yew Tree Lane in Pannal will be closed at Clark Beck Crossing for five days from Monday 5th October. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day throughout the works.
Families who travel through this area may wish to allow extra time for their journeys to and from school during this period. A signed diversion route will be in place via Whinney Lane and Hill Top Lane, although some families may prefer to use alternative local routes.
The work is part of Yorkshire Water's investment in improving the wastewater network in the Harrogate area.

If your child is a service child and you do not believe the school is aware of this, please contact us so that we can update our records. Similarly, if your circumstances have changed and your child is no longer considered a service child, please let us know.
We would also be grateful if you could log in to Arbor to check that your contact details and other information are accurate and up to date, making any amendments where necessary.

Join the Harrogate Homeless Project's Santa Dash at the Swinton Bivouac on Sunday 22nd November.
Every Disc Makes a Difference
Up for Yorkshire's 'Every Disc Makes a Difference' campaign is encouraging people to recycle their unwanted DVDs, CDs or computer games rather than send them to landfill.
Recycled discs are turned into valuable resources, helping to support community projects while reducing waste.
