Rossett News Update - 23rd January 2026

Why We Need Your Support

Earlier this week, our U14 girls' football team went to a tournament at St John Fisher, travelling in our one remaining minibus. They came an impressive third place and represented Rossett brilliantly.

This is one of the many reasons why we need our minibuses, taking students to sporting fixtures and competitions. As we're now down to just one minibus, we're raising funds to replace the second, which has reached the end of its working life.

Every donation helps! Please donate if you can via Arbor or our GoFundMe page here

Well Done to our Year 10 Netball Team

Well done to our Year 10 girls' netball team who played against King James's School yesterday.

Not only did they secure a 9-5 win, they also received some amazing feedback from the KJS staff who said our girls were a real credit to our school. They were polite, friendly and helped to create a lovely atmosphere which was really appreciated by the KJS team, some of whom were playing in their first interschool game.

We are so proud!

Allies Week!

Next week, we will be celebrating Allies Week to support the LGBTQ+ community. Students will have the opportunity to take part in a short video by filming a message of support. There will also be activities during form time to raise awareness.

On Friday 30th January, students are invited to come to school wearing a rainbow accessory (with full school uniform) to show their support, with a suggested donation of £1 per student. Also on that day, we will be running a cake stall at breaktime and rainbow ribbon pins will be on sale too. Cake donations are very welcome, bought or made.

All money raised will go to two charities: Just Like Us and Stonewall

We are allies!
