Rossett News Update - 12th December 2025

Festive Wednesday

Students are invited to take part in Festive Wednesday on Wednesday 17th December by wearing a Christmas-themed hat throughout the school day and during lessons. Will they sleigh the Santa look like Mr Milburn?!

We are asking for a voluntary £1 donation with all money raised going to this year's chosen charity, The Sibling Group

There will also be a Christmas stall, run by the Student Council and the Year 10 Enterprise Group, selling Christmas decorations and festive treats. This will be held in DW4 at break and lunchtime. All money raised will also go to The Sibling Group

Thank you for supporting our school community and this fantastic charity.

Wreath Making Masterclass

Last night's PTA wreath making masterclass was a huge success.

Led by our very own trained florist, Miss Wilson, and her mum, it was a lovely way to celebrate the festive season.

Everyone did a fantastic job and the finished wreaths were all unique and looked amazing.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening so special.

Our PTA Music Quiz was a Smash Hit!

A big thank you to all the teams who joined us for a night of musical mayhem last Friday...there was singing (we think we can call it that!) and dancing...and the competition was fierce.

Congratulations to our champions, 'Do They Know It's Quizmas' who took home the trophy, and commiserations to the losing team, 'Ginger Biscuits', who are now the proud owners of the wooden spoon.

Thank you to our lovely PTA for organising such a fantastic evening, and to Mr Lee, aka DJ Double Helix, for hosting!

Attendance Actually

In true Love Actually style, this week our students put together a video to share why they love coming to school.

Rossett Sports Centre Car Park

Please could all parents and carers take extra care when parking in the Sports Centre car park.

Please do not park on the double yellow lines as this makes it difficult for other cars to get round and is a safety concern for pedestrians.

Your cooperation helps us keep the site safe and accessible for everyone. Thank you for your support!
