Rossett News Update - 11th September 2026
Thank You for a Strong Start!
As we complete the first full week of the new academic year, we would like to thank our students and families for helping us have a positive and purposeful start to term.
It has been fantastic to see:

High standards of school uniform, with the vast majority of students taking pride in their appearance and representing the school exceptionally well.

Students arriving ready to learn and engaging positively in lessons from day one.

Our students getting back into our Rossett routines quickly making for a successful first few days for many.

Purposeful learning with students engaged from the very first lesson.

Warm and welcoming conversations taking place across the school community.
A special mention must go to our students new to school. You have already shown great resilience in navigating your way around your new school but have done it with great positivity!
The start of term sets the tone for the year ahead, and the support you have provided at home has played an important part in ensuring that students have returned ready to learn, succeed and make the most of every opportunity available to them.
We hope everyone has a good rest this weekend ready to do it all again next week!
Rossett R Travels
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the Rossett R with them on their travels during the summer holidays.
We were inundated with photos this year and loved seeing what our students and staff got up to.
Be Part of Rossett!
Parents and carers of children in Year 6 are invited to visit us and learn all about life at Rossett at our upcoming open event on Saturday 26th September from 9.30am to 12.00pm.
School Sweatshirts
Our uniform supplier, Rawcliffes, has informed us that a small batch of school V-neck sweatshirts was supplied over the summer with the embroidered school logo positioned too far towards the sleeve. As a result, the logo may not be clearly visible when the sweatshirt is being worn.
If your child has a sweatshirt affected by this issue, please contact Rawcliffes directly and they will be happy to arrange a replacement.
Your PTA Needs You!
Our PTA's first meeting of the new school year will take place at 6.30pm on Monday 21st September at the Curious Cow.
Whether you're a regular volunteer, can help occasionally or would just like to find out more, please come along. New members are always welcome
