Little Shop of Horrors - 13-15 February 2019

Little Shop of HorrosWe are delighted to announce that tickets for our production of 'Little Shop of Horrors' are on sale now!  In recent weeks, our Music and Drama departments, along with our very talented cast have been busy rehearsing and set-building to dazzle you with their performance.  Tickets for the production are available from the Finance Office priced £8 or £5 for concessions.  The show will run for three nights - so book now and don't miss seeing what promises to be a fantastic showcase of the talented students we have here at Rossett School.

We are still seeking one extra prop for the production - if you know anyone who can provide a dentist or barber's chair as loan, please get in touch with Mrs McLurg via Reception 01423 564444 office@rossettschool.co.uk.

PTA Quiz Night -  Friday 1 February 2019

PTA Quiz NightA reminder to book your tickets for the PTA Quiz Night by the end of today.  The event is being held at school on Friday 1 February;   the evening involves a quiz, written by the school's resident Quiz Master (and lead Biology teacher) Mr Lee; a fish & chip supper; and a bar provided by the Shepherd’s Dog. Why not come along and support your school and have a great evening out? This is an event for adults, children and families (accompanied children only, please).  Information has been sent via the school email and you can sign up for tickets here. Tickets are priced £8 per ticket including food or £5 per ticket for quiz only (cheques made payable to Rossett School PTA please).

Any contributions for the raffle would be gratefully received - either business donations or donations of bottles, chocolates or suitable gifts.  Please leave at Rossett School Reception with a note 'for PTA'.

Are you able to help us make this evening a success? Do you have any skills that may help us out? Can you help us distribute/serve fish and chips? The more pairs of hands we have on the evening, the more fun we can make it.  Please feel free to contact us on: info@rossettpta.co.uk.

Year 11 English Homework Drop-in

The English faculty are running a homework club for Year 11 students every Monday after school from 3.10-4.10pm in R12 and R14.
Year 11 students are invited to come along to access further support to complete their English homework or for help with their revision and practice.

Please contact Miss Kelly if you require any additional information: (akelly@rossettschool.co.uk).

Co-Curricular Club of the Week

Camera Club is aimed at Year 7, 8 and 9 students who either have an interest in photography or have not had the opportunity to do photography but are keen to have a go. Last week we started to think about what photography means, how it helps us see the world around us and a bit of history.  The students couldn't believe the stories of life 'before digital cameras' and waiting a week for your film to be developed! Over the following months we will get  creative with mini projects, composition and learn about photography basics in fun ways such as light painting and  some Photoshop skills. As a school, we offer A-Level Photography and this is an amazing opportunity to master the basics for the future. If you would like to join come and see Miss Butler in A2.
