Front Page News
Last week, we were extremely proud to feature on the front page of the Harrogate Advertiser to demonstrate the progress we have made over the last 18 months.
Magical Mondays
Starting on Monday 11th November, Mrs Dean is running an after school Harry Potter Art Club from 3.15pm to 4.00pm in A2. Please see Mrs Dean if you would like to sign up.
Up on the Roof
This week, our students may have been surprised to see Mr Milburn standing on our Sports Centre roof!! As part of our transition to the Red Kite Learning Trust, we received DfE funding to repair the roof and these repairs are now complete.
We are pleased to report that Mr Milburn made it safely back down to earth.
Quiz Night on Friday 29th November
We are very grateful to Soroptimist International of Harrogate and District who are holding a quiz night on Friday 29th November to raise funds for our school. Tickets cost £15 and include a pie and pea supper. Please support the evening if you can.

Safeguarding Evening
There is still time to book onto our Safeguarding Information Evening on Wednesday 20th November 2024 from 6pm to 8pm. Light refreshments will be provided and we will be aiming for a 6.30 pm start.
The evening will be focussed on highlighting our safeguarding provision across Rossett School and provide you with an opportunity to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team and Designated Safeguarding Leads.
We will also have a guest speaker from North Yorkshire Police who will present on those themes that have the greatest impact on our students, after which there will be an opportunity for a Q & A session.

English Language Intervention
The after school English Language Intervention begins on Monday 11th November for all Year 11 students who need some extra support. Students should meet in R12 at 3.20pm and will be allocated a group.
Week 1: Paper 2 Viewpoint Writing - exploring features of article writing, focusing on developing a voice and producing a sustained argument.
Home Again, Home Again
After an unbelievable couple of weeks, our American Exchange students are home safe and sound. They had the most amazing time with their exchange families before taking in all the sights and sounds of Boston. We are so grateful to Mrs Buxey and Mr Elcock for giving our students such an unforgettable opportunity.

Pumpkin Picking!
Congratulations to brothers William, Joseph and Jacob (and their little sister!) for winning this year's pumpkin carving competition.
And well done to Mr Wilson, Subject Lead Geography, for winning the staff category with his very inspired creation!
