Spreading Christmas Cheer
Last Friday, a group of Year 10 and 11 GCSE Music students visited the residents at Vida Court care home in Beckwithshaw to spread some festive joy.
It was a lovely opportunity for the students to connect with the local community and showcase their musical skills, while also bringing smiles to the faces of the residents.
Sixth Form Celebrations
The Sixth Form came together for a special celebration lunch assembly this week. Mr. Milburn presented awards to recognize the hard work and dedication of students, celebrating their successes.
Students were treated to hot chocolate and marshmallows, it was a great opportunity for them to reflect on the accomplishments of the term. We are proud of them all.

Parenting in the Digital Age
A group of local parents have organised an event to support parents and carers navigating the digital age with their young people, with or without a smartphone. This free event will be held at Brackenfield School on Thursday 16th January at 7pm.
The same group are driving the Smartphone Free Childhood movement in Harrogate and received a positive response to the launch of the North Yorkshire Parent Pact in September. More information and full results for the region are available here.
Faraday Challenge Day
Last week, some of our Year 8 students took part in the Faraday Challenge Day, organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and hosted at St Aidan’s C of E High School.
They had a fantastic day, showing respect and resilience, solving real-world engineering problems, working as a team and developing their critical thinking skills. Well done!

From the start of next term, students, as appropriate, will be required to drop and collect iPads from the main school reception rather than student reception.
