There is still time to book onto our Safeguarding Information Evening on Wednesday 20th November 2024 from 6pm to 8pm. Light refreshments will be provided and we will be aiming for a 6.30pm start.

The evening will be focused on highlighting our safeguarding provision across Rossett School and will provide parents and carers with an opportunity to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team and Designated Safeguarding Leads.

We will also have a guest speaker from North Yorkshire Police who will present on those themes that have the greatest impact on our students, after which there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session.

Yorkshire to Ukraine Appeal

At the weekend, Ms Rogers collected some fabulous donations for Ukraine from the Rossett Acre Primary School jumble sale.

Thank you Rossett Acre! And thank you to all of the Rossett families who have donated so far too. Please keep the donations coming - anything that you would find useful if you were evacuated from your home to a place of safety. Food, blankets, bedding, clothing, shoes, cleaning products, baby items, candles, camping equipment, sleeping bags, sanitary or washing products and toys. These should be in a condition that you would be happy to use, or give to your children.

Are You Good With Numbers?

Would you like to be our next PTA Treasurer? It's not as tricky as it sounds! We just need someone with a clear head for numbers who could manage the PTA funds in line with the committee’s decisions and charity law. There would be no obligation to attend committee meetings.

For more information, please email: rspta@rs.rklt.co.uk.

After School Martial Arts Sessions COMING SOON!

We are very excited to announce that Mr Ollie Saunderson will be back on Wednesdays delivering martial arts sessions after school from 27th November right through to 26th March 2025. The sessions will run from 3.15pm to 4.15pm in the gym and will focus on both striking and ground work.

Mr Saunderson is a former armed police officer (and maths teacher at Rossett!) now turned martial arts instructor. His martial arts school, Premier Martial Arts Harrogate, aims to empower young people just like we do. He has over 20 years’ experience in dealing with conflict. He is a 3rd degree black belt, a level 3 self-defence trainer and a level 3 conflict management trainer. What a fantastic opportunity for our students!

Please speak to Mr O'Sullivan to sign up, or email the school office.

SCOPAY Accounts

Please ensure that all SCOPAY accounts are placed into credit by the end of November. Our priority is to provide a meal at lunchtime and the fantastic Rossett Kitchen offers a huge range of options every day. There are a significant number of students who use their balance to purchase breakfast leaving insufficient for lunch. We will continue to keep this under review.
