A Message from the Headteacher
We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive, established in 1973. There are currently 1400+ students on roll. We gained Academy status on 1 July 2011. The school is situated in the Rossett Green/Pannal area of Harrogate and the site has excellent facilities on a large, pleasant campus including:
- A purpose built ‘Junior Block’ used for new year 7 form bases and social area.
- A comprehensive learning resource centre, which has been recently refurbished with a huge range of books as well as 32 networked computers.
- Extensive modern computer hardware and software in specialist rooms.
- Design technology specialist suite of rooms.
- A large sports centre, gym, squash courts, floodlit all weather pitch.
- Extensive sports fields and tennis courts.
- 11 Science laboratories.
- Art & design area including pottery and ceramics.
- Separate Music facilities with the latest electronic and computerised equipment as well as practice rooms for individual and group work with peripatetic teachers.
- Purpose built Drama workshop.
- Dedicated Maths, English, Modern Language and Humanities suites.
- Separate 6th form block.
