- Years 7 and 8: Passport challenge
- All years will be able to:

Year 7 meet a real-life poet – Thursday 27 September 2018
On Thursday 27 September we welcome Rob Bradley, a poetic rapper, to Rossett. Rob is a world champion rapper who has performed all around the world combining stories, improvisation and poetry. Following a performance at an assembly for all Year 7 students, Rob will be holding a Rap Workshop with a selected group of students – a wonderful opportunity to engage with a new form of writing which should be very inspiring!
Sponsored Walk – Friday 28 September
A reminder that the Sponsored Walk takes place next Friday. Please encourage your child to obtain as many sponsors as possible. Year group assemblies have been held to give final information to the students. You will have received a letter with further details for students of what to wear, student safety, equipment, sponsorship and timings for the event: please read this carefully! I am sure everyone involved will enjoy the day – a ‘Rossett tradition’ for over thirty years. Watch out for updates on the day through our Twitter feed and the website.
National Apprenticeship Show
On Thursday, a group of our Year 10 and Year 11 students attended the National Apprenticeship Show at the Yorkshire Showground. The students spent the morning meeting prospective employers and gaining an insight into the opportunities available to them in relation to apprenticeships and future careers.
Each year the PTA raises money to improve the facilities and equipment for every child at Rossett School and all parents are invited to support this fundraising. Being part of the PTA is about taking an active part in the school community, getting to know other parents and staff and having fun in the process! Even if you cannot be actively involved, the PTA really appreciate your support at the various events organised. The first PTA meeting of the term is being held at school on Tuesday 25 September at 7.15pm -come and join us if you can! Learn more about the Rossett School PTA here.
