Changes to Transdev Harrogate & District buses
We have been informed by Transdev Harrogate and District bus company which run the yellow fleet of school buses that they plan some changes to their school services after Easter.
Please understand that the contracting agency for these services is NYCC and it is Transdev who operates the services on behalf of the council. The school has no control over these changes so please direct any concerns you may have to Transdev 01423 566061

Update from Yorkshire Water
From Tuesday 3 April Morrison Utility Service will return to Otley Road to complete the new water pipe project. They expect the remaining work to take around six weeks and the temporary traffic lights will need to be reinstalled.
Sixth Form Careers event
In preparation for Year 12 work experience the Sixth Form held a Careers Fair yesterday. Exhibitors included York University, Leeds University, York St John, Leeds Beckett, Bam Construct and CITB and Aspire iGen.
Hello, welcome back and goodbye!
We are delighted to announce that Mr Royles and Mr Saunders will be joining us in September as Deputy Headteacher (Associate) with responsibility for the pastoral life of the school. Also this week we have welcomed back Ms Tolliday (English) from maternity leave and we say goodbye to Mark Richardson (Assistant Headteacher) – we wish him success in his new role as Deputy Headteacher at a specialist school near Wakefield.
Our students are looking forward to welcoming their American partners when they arrive in Harrogate on Saturday 14 April 2018. They have a busy schedule including visits to the Yorkshire Coal Mining Museum, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Royal Armouries, a day trip to York, Fountains Abbey and a trip to the Warner Bros Studios tour: The Making of Harry Potter.
Representatives from MacMillan Cancer Trust in Harrogate led assemblies for Years 9 and 10 this week. They talked to students about what they do as a charity and how they support people affected by cancer. Year 11 Prom – Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate, Thursday 28 June 2018
The Year 11 Prom is on 28 June 2018. This is an excellent event as it celebrates the time our students have spent with each other at Rossett and also marks the completion of the examination period.
The deadline for Year 11s to sign up to the prom is Monday 23 April 2018 – please ensure slips and a £10 refundable deposit are returned to the Finance Office by this date.

Students should sign in at Reception on arrival.
Charity cake sale
Charlotte Lindsay (Year 13) organised a bake sale on Tuesday to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. With the support of both students and staff a fantastic £250 was raised for the charity.

- The Year 8A boys’ football team who beat St John Fishers 5-3 last night in the Area Cup semi final. This sets them up for a double cup final in the County Cup and Area Cup – an excellent achievement.
